Sweet Charlie

Charlie at about 2 months old. Technically (gestationally), he was 3 weeks old in this picture, as he should have been born May 6. He just had a Dr. appt. and weighed in at 13.5 pounds -- bigger than the pediatrician's own 4-month-old!

Eloise and Charlie

Charlie began to get acquainted with his very sweet older cousin over the weekend. He seemed pretty stunned by her charm.

Toby, Eloise and Theo turned his crib into a trampoline, shrieking with laughter all the while.

Skateboarding with Sandy Berman

Toby has discovered the world of skateboarding thank to some older boys we know, and he uses his old-fashioned xylophone to practice his moves (it helps to have some big hands like Berman's to help out).

Toby was entertained for a very long stretch by throwing his red pail into the water and watching the waves carry it back to him.

We used one of Jack's paternity-leave days to take the boys to the OR coast. It was a hot, gorgeous day -- perfect for splashing in the ocean (big brother) or getting lulled by the wave-sounds into an all-day nap (baby brother).
